หลักการกล่าวเสริมหรือแสดงความเห็นกับข้อความข้างหน้า

1. การกล่าวเสริมความแบบรับ

โครงสร้าง 

So + กริยาช่วย + ประธาน

ประธาน + กริยาช่วย + too

Ex.

• The students decided not to go, and so did the teachers.
• My mother’s a good cook and my aunt is too.
• Skirts that reveal the knees are forbidden in public places. So are women’s shirts and slacks.
• Japan’s made a lot of progress in economics, and so has Singapore.
• While taking the entrance examination, my son decided not to think about the trip to Japan, and so did I.

2. การกล่าวเสริมความแบบปฏิเสธ

โครงสร้าง 

Neither, nor, not + กริยาช่วย + ประธาน

ประธาน + กริยาช่วย + not + either

Ex.

• She didn’t do that herself and you needn’t either. 
• Few students like that teacher. Neither (หรือ nor) do I.
• He does not like lazy students; neither do I.
• They don’t need to stay in after six o’clock. You don’t either.
• She can’t speak French as well as German; neither can Kriengkrai.
• Anthony never came; neither did she.
• I can’t speak Japanese. Neither can David.
